Communities served: All residents of Klamath or Lake counties, including Tribal members. Not limited to KHA tenants only.
Eligibility criteria: The first step is to complete the required financial education, either KHA’s in-person financial fitness class or the online version offered by DevNW. Participants must also agree to enroll with one of our certified financial coaches for our financial capabilities program, or if using their IDA for home purchase they must enroll in our pre-purchase housing counseling program. See “Am I Eligible?” for general eligibility requirements. Individuals are limited to one IDA in their lifetime.
Application process: After taking the financial education class, individuals can be added to the waitlist. The expected wait time is approximately 2-3 years, depending on funding. People are selected off the waitlist on a first-come first-served basis, after our funding is awarded, usually once a year. The application process occurs once the individual’s name is pulled off the waitlist.
