Eligibility Criteria: Preference is given to those who have not had an IDA before. Total match allowed for multiple IDAs is capped at $10,000.
Application process: IDA application is through a lottery. Anyone in our geographic area can enter their name into the lottery at any time. The lottery entry is good for the entire program year. We pull from the lottery monthly and notify those who were selected by email, call, and text. If selected, an applicant must first attend IDA Orientation and Financial Education before being eligible to apply.
Average number of IDAs opened each year, in the 3 most recent years: 40-45
Maximum match per asset: $3000 for Emergency Savings; $10,000 for all other assets
Other services provided: Classes and one-on-one coaching/counseling around home buying, budgeting/credit/personal finances, and home retention/foreclosure prevention.
