Communities served: Our program serves low-income, minorities, homeless populations, refugees & immigrants, or any Oregonian in need of assistance. Though we serve primarily the Portland metro area, we offer online options to assist everyone across the state. Primarily Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, Washington, and Yamhill Counties.
Eligibility Criteria: Save First is a financial education program open to everyone. To be eligible to apply for an IDA, you must complete a client intake and complete IDA program pre-requisites including our online Financial Education Workshop and one-on-one Financial Coaching.
Our education services are available in English online, and are available in Spanish and Russian on an individual basis.
Other services provided: Save First offers very low cost credit builder loans, small personal loans, auto loans, financial coaching, home ownership counseling, emergency fund assistance, community resource navigation and services.
In addition, Catholic Charities offers homeless & housing services, intercultural counseling serving children, youth, individuals and families, immigration legal services, refugee placement, pregnancy & parenting services.
