Communities served: AAAH’s mission is to increase homeownership opportunities and economic stability for African Americans and other underserved individuals. We are an equal opportunity provider, all are welcome to apply.
Eligibility Criteria: Must be an AAAH client to be eligible. Visit aaah.org or call our office (503) 595-3517 to learn more. Individuals are limited to two IDAs in their lifetime within the CASA network.
Application process: The first step is to schedule a meeting with one of our staff who can answer your questions, explain the eligibility requirements, and walk you through the application process. Due to the limited funding of the program, we may not be able to accommodate everyone who’s interested, but we can add you to our interest list where you will receive emails from our team when IDA opportunities become available. There is a $25 application fee that is paid to CASA of Oregon.
Average number of IDAs opened each year, in the 3 most recent years: 16-20
Maximum match per asset: AAAH typically offers up to $12,000 for Home Purchase and Home Repair but reviews saver needs on a case-by-case basis. Plans are available for more, or less, depending on funding and individual circumstances.
Other services provided: Homeownership Counseling, Foreclosure Prevention Counseling, Energy Efficiency Retrofits and Upgrades (Power to the People PDX), Water Leak Mitigation, Estate Planning, and Home Repair (subject to eligibility and available funds).
